Dear parents and guardians,

I hope that you and your family are keeping well.  Thank you very much for helping your child engage in our distance learning programme.  I appreciate the challenges  involved in keeping the show on the road.  The schedule will be similar to last week.  If you need to collect your child’s books or if you would like to borrow an ICT device please just let us know via your child’s teacher email or via the school email address (office@milfordns.ie)

The Department of Education (DES) emailed a letter to schools on Friday night indicating that ‘Pupils with significant additional needs in mainstream classes in primary schools will have access to in-school teaching and learning’ on 21st January.  The DES has indicated that it is going to issue examples of how this might operate in practice to schools early next week. In the meantime, Support Teachers will continue to implement their specific learning programmes for the groups of children and individual children they teach. We will be in contact with parents once we receive more information from the DES.

Finally, thank you very much for your continued support and cooperation.  Your kind emails and messages to our staff are very much appreciated.
